| Producer Domaine Trapet Region Burgundy, France Encepagement 100% Pinot Noir Elevage 30% whole cluster fermentation, 70% destemmed. 70% new barrels. No fining or filtering. One racking before bottling. Description Reviews for 2006 Vintage From the The Wine Advocate, Issue #143 (March/April 09): "Points: 91. Good medium red. Cherry and spices on the nose. Suave on entry, then explosively fruity in the middle, with a sappy quality and lovely definition and energy to the flavors. Comes across as more primary than Trapet's other premier crus and yet wonderfully expressive, conveying a lovely light touch. Finishes with fairly light tannins but lovely lift from the stem component. " © The Wine Advocate Reviews for 2007 Vintage From the The Wine Advocate, Issue #143 (March/April 09): "Points: 89-91. (older vines from numerous sites; this was vinified with a relatively high 50% whole clusters, vs. 25% to 30% for the rest of these 2007s) Good bright, full red. Pure nose offers lovely lift to the raspberry, mineral and spice flavors. Not particularly fleshy but juicy, spicy and intense, with enticing sappiness to the berry and game flavors. Finishes with lovely length and grip-and a distinctly wild character. " © The Wine Advocate |
