| Nuits St. Georges Les Bousselots 1er Cru |
| Producer Domaine Henri et Giles Remoriquet Region Burgundy, France Encepagement 100% Pinot Noir Elevage 100% new barrels. One racking before bottling. Little sulphur. No fining or filtering. Hand bottled. Description Les Bousselots is more concentrated than the Allots with more intensity of fruit and more chunky tannins. The nose has aromas of bright cherry and toast. The palate has dense fruit with layers of toasty oak and spice. It is elegant and powerful and will improve with 2-3 years in bottle. Reviews for 2000 Vintage From the International Wine Cellar (Mar/Apr 2002): "Points: 86-89. Fresh red-ruby. Cherry, blackberry, chocolate and spice on the nose, as well as an autumnal aspect that suggests this wine will be for early drinking. Then sappy and ripe in the mouth, with maraschino cherry and floral flavors. A rather muscular wine with substantial tannic clout. Not quite squeaky-clean." © International Wine Cellar Reviews for 2002 Vintage From the International Wine Cellar (Mar/Apr 2005): "Points: 88. Medium red. Sexy aromas of plum, currant and spices. Sweet, supple and broad, with enticing flavors of chocolate and spice cake. Builds nicely toward the back, finishing with slightly dry-edged tannins but an impression of good extract." © International Wine Cellar |
