Non-vintage to maintain maximum flexibility to make interesting wine. From a high quality coop just outside the Cotes du Rhone appellation. Elevage 12 year old vines Low yield, 45hectolitres per hectare From stony hillside vineyards southeast of Avignon in the town of Noves Destemmed 100% aged in tank 2 week maceration Reviews From the Wine Advocate, #179 (Oct 2008): “Points: 85. Yet the low level wines are also worth checking out, including the non-vintage Petite Crau Vin de Table, which is Merlot, Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, and Cabarnet Sauvignon primarily from the 2007 vintage blended with small amounts of 2006. While it reveals a slightly herbaceous streak, it offers plenty of fruit as well as medium body. Consume it over the next year.” © The Wine Advocate From the Wine Advocate, #173 (Oct 2007): “Points: 87. For starters, there are terrific values at the lower end of the spectrum, including his non-vintage Petite Crau All of this comes from 2006. It is a blend of Grenache and Carignan and is what the French call a vin de table, but it is also a wine of pleasure. Dense ruby/purple, chuncky, fleshy, it has surprising personality and soul for a wine in this price range. Drink it over the next several years.” © The Wine Advocate Reviews for 2003 Vintage From the Wine Advocate, #156 (Dec 2004): "Points: 86. Cut from the same cloth with more body and herbes de Provence as well as a slightly earthy, leathery component, is the 2003 VDP Petit Crau. A tank-aged blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre, it should drink well for 1-3 years." © The Wine Advocate |
