Reviews for 2000 Vintage
From the Wine Advocate, #145 (Feb 2003): "Points: 88. Lastly, two wines that need to be mentioned are 2000 and 2001 Cotes du Rhone Rubis. Both are blends of 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah from the same grower who produced the Chateauneuf du Pape Rubis. Produced just outside the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation, they smell like an open-air Provence marketplace, offering up huge aromas of pepper, spice box, cedar, fruit cake, dried herbs, scorched rocks, and copious amounts of black cherries. The 2001 appears to be deeper and fleshier, but both are noteworthy efforts that sell for a song." © The Wine Advocate

Reviews for 2001 Vintage

From the International Wine Cellar (Jan/Feb 2003): "Points: 88-90. Medium ruby. Liqueur-like aromas of redcurrant, spice cake and smoky oak. Sweet, fat and expressive, with a layered texture and an intriguing mineral aspect. Finishes with sweet tannins and very good persistence. A potentially excellent Cotes du Rhone based on 80% grenache." © International Wine Cellar

Reviews for 2003 Vintage
From the Wine Advocate, #156 (Dec 2004): "Points: 88-90. The sensational 2003 Cotes du Rhone Rubis is fashioned from an old vineyard situated close by the renowned Beaucastel estate. Primarily destemmed Grenache, it is a ripe, rich offering displaying notes of cherry jam, pepper, licorice, spice box, and herbs. This serious, Provencal-styled juice will drink well for 3-4 years." © The Wine Advocate

Reviews for 2005 Vintage
From the Wine Advocate, #173 (Oct 2007): “Points 88.   The {2005 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Rubis} comes from many vineyards on the big, open, mistral-swept plain call the Plan de Dieu (the map/city of God).   Long, heady, ripe, with definite Grenached dominating, this wine tastes like the essence of Provence and should drink well for another 3-4 years.” © The Wine Advocate
