| Producer Dominique Laurent Region Burgundy, France Reviews for 2000 Vintage From the International Wine Cellar (Mar/Apr 2003): "Points: 87. Dullish amber-red color. Complex yet somewhat dull aromas of raspberry, woodsmoke, baking spices, nutskin and celery. Nicely concentrated and soft in the middle, with a thick, seamless texture and a flavor of black raspberry. Finishes with even tannins and good spicy length. But I don't find a lot of personality here." © International Wine Cellar Reviews for 2001 Vintage From the International Wine Cellar (Mar/Apr 2003): "(from 100-year-old vines; Laurent says he plans to keep most of this cuvee for himself) Medium red. An explosion of fruits, minerals and spices on the nose. Offers great creamy sweetness and sappy vinosity, superb density with no excess weight. Rich but sharply delineated flavors really saturate the palate on the very long finish. Tannins are perfectly ripe and suave. A great premier cru in the making." © International Wine Cellar |
