Perfumed, expressive nose combines blackberry, bitter chocolate, violet and game. Dense, sweet and intensely flavored; robust and chewy. Finishes with rather strong tannins but plenty of aromatic interest. "Not a fashionable cru," said Laurent about this very firm, slightly rude, backward wine from 80-year-old vines.
