No fining or filtering. Hand bottled. Description This 1er cru from Volnay is typically dark red in color with aromas of sweet cherries in the nose and round, soft, chocolate tannins on the palate. Lush, ripe, forward and sweet, it can be enjoyed in its youth. Reviews for 2002 Vintage From the The Wine Advocate, Issue 153 (June 2004): "Points: 89-91. Copious quantities of sweet black fruits are found in the nose, of the 2002 Volnay Clos des Chenes.  Medium-bodied and suave, its personality is loaded with ripe black fruits.
