Description
This vineyard borders Meursault Perrières, but the wine has the purity of apple and pear fruit and the style and elegance of Puligny Montrachet. It is aged longer in barrel and has more CO2 than the Meursaults. It is well balanced with an elegant nose of lemon toast, intense fruit in the mouth and a crisp, clean finish.

Reviews for 2000 Vintage
From the The Wine Advocate, Issue 138 (Dec 2001): "Points: 88-90. The white berry and floral-scented 2000 Puligny-Montrachet Champs Canet is a silky, medium-bodied wine. Smoke, white currants, spices, and flowers can be discerned in its fresh and zesty character. Projected maturity: now-2009." © The Wine Advocate

From the International Wine Cellar (Sep/Oct 2002): "Points: 91. Subtly spicy aromas of peach, white plum, apple blossom, honeysuckle and vanilla. Rich, fleshy and broad but in a distinctly drier Puligny style, with restrained floral and apple flavors. Has sound structure and good ripe persistence. Really opens out on the back half but can't quite match the Meursault Perrieres or Genevrieres for finishing grip." © International Wine Cellar

Reviews for 2001 Vintage
From the International Wine Cellar (Sep/Oct 2004): "Points: 91. Peach, apricot, orange and nut oils on the nose.  Sweet, silky and rich, but with sound acids giving the fruit a tangy brightness.  Here the firmer Puligny acidity serves to lift and extend the wine’s fruit.  Very nicely balanced, and long on the aftertaste.  More accessible than the 2000 version was at the same stage." © International Wine Cellar

Reviews for 2002 Vintage
From the International Wine Cellar (Sep/Oct 2004): "Points: 91-93. Super ripe aromas of crystallized fruits, apple, nuts and smoky oak.  Rich and fat but dry, with chewy, rather powerful peach and pineapple flavors nicely shaped by strong acidity.  Still a bit youthfully aggressive on the dry, persistent finish and in need of a longer elevage." © International Wine Cellar

From the The Wine Advocate, Issue 151 (Feb 2004): "Points: 90-92. Light to medium-bodied and sporting a nose of spicy candied apples, the 2002 Puligny-Montrachet Champs-Canet is a spicy, broad effort.  Rich, lush, and filled with spiced white fruits, it is a candidate for drinking over the next 6 years." © The Wine Advocate

Reviews for 2003 Vintage
From the International Wine Cellar (Sep/Oct 2005): "Points: 91. Very ripe, nicely lifted aromas of peach nectar and almond. Fat, ripe and peachy, with lovely flavor depth and sweetness. Atypically, this is quite open and showy already. Finishes with excellent grip and length. Very rich wine with harmonious ripe acidity." © International Wine Cellar
