| Château Hourtin-Ducasse (Haut Medoc) | ||||||
Ch. Hourtin-Ducasse is a Cru Bourgeois Haut Medoc located in the village
of Saint-Saveur bordering on the commune of Pauillac. The estate owns 24
hectares of vines which are 20-25 years old. The soil is gravel and silica
and the plantings are 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet
Franc. The annual production is about 10,000 cases. The wines are fermented
in stainless steel vats and then aged in one- or two-year-old barrels. |
