Bouquet de Monbrison is the second wine of Ch. Monbrison in Margaux. The
estate has 63 hectares of vines planted 65% in Cabernet Sauvignon (35 years
old) and 35% Merlot (20 years old). The vineyards are densely planted and
the yield is kept down to 52 hectoliters per hectare. The wines are fermented
with natural yeasts and aged 50% in one-year-old barrels and 50% in two-year-old
barrels. French oak is used exclusively. Egg whites are used for fining and
the wines are not filtered.
