Baron de Milon is the second wine of Duhart Milon, the Rothschild property
that borders Lafite Rothschild in Pauillac. The 65 hectare vineyard is classical
Pauillac, quaternary gravels on the surface with a sub-soil of clay and limestone.
The blend in Baron de Milon is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 4%
Cabernet Franc. The grapes are handpicked and go through a 15 day maceration.
Fermentation is done in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The
wines are fined with egg whites.
