| Morey St. Denis Les Ruchots |
| Producer Domaine Pierre Amiot Region Burgundy, France Encepagement 100% Pinot Noir Elevage Fifty-year-old vines. 100% aged in new oak barrels. One racking by hand before bottling. Not fined or filtered. Bottled by hand. Description The Morey St. Denis Ruchots is denser and riper than the Millandes and the 2000 is very forward and will drink well young. The nose is loaded with aromas of black fruits and spice and there is plenty of lush, sweet, ripe fruit in the mouth. The wine is finely textured and beautifully balanced. Reviews for 2000 Vintage From the International Wine Cellar (Mar/Apr 2003): "Points: 89. Good medium red. Musky, reduced aromas of raspberry, game, mocha, chocolate and baking spices. Fatter and sweeter than the Millandes, with good spicy ripeness and concentration, not to mention lovely balance. Fresh, smooth, rather stylish Morey, depending as much on its harmonious acidity as on its light tannins for structure." © International Wine Cellar |
